Getting Started
Do I need to be in shape to start?
No! We meet you exactly where you are. Our programs are customized to your current fitness level. Whether you're 40 or 90, just starting or coming back from an injury — we've been doing this for 28+ years.
What is a Strategy Session?
A complimentary, no-obligation meeting where we show you around the facility, get to know your goals and health history, and guide you through a simple assessment. There's no pressure — just an honest conversation about how we can help.
What should I wear to my first visit?
Comfortable workout clothing and athletic shoes. We provide everything else you need.
How much does membership cost?
We offer several membership options including semi-private training, personal training, group classes, and remote coaching. Your strategy session will help us find the best fit for your goals and budget.
Is there a contract or commitment?
We believe in earning your loyalty through results, not contracts. Ask about our flexible membership options during your strategy session.
Programs & Classes
What's the difference between Programs and Classes?
Programs (Semi-Private Training, Personal Training, Remote Coaching) are ongoing, customized coaching relationships. Classes (Get Strong, Get Lean, Afterburn) are group sessions on a set schedule. Many members combine both.
What classes do you offer?
Get Strong (strength-focused), Get Lean (metabolic conditioning), and Afterburn (HIIT intervals). All classes are coached, structured, and scalable to any fitness level.
Can I try a class before committing?
Absolutely. Book a strategy session and we'll guide you to the right starting point — whether that's a class or a program. We do not require yearly commitments, so you can get started with flexibility and confidence.

How long has YES Fitness been around?
We've been helping adults get fit since March 1998 — over 28 years. We were named Best Gym in America in 2020.
Who are the coaches?
Our team is led by Chris Borda, best-selling author and founder with 30+ years of experience. Our coaches specialize in helping adults 40+ build real strength through personalized programming.
Where are you located?
292 Spielman Highway, Burlington, CT, USA 06013. We're a private facility — not a big-box gym.
Training & Results
What if I have injuries or health conditions?
We specialize in working with all abilities and conditions. Our coaches create customized programs that work around your limitations while building strength safely. Many of our members started with injuries or health issues.
How quickly will I see results?
Many members notice improvements in how they feel after just one workout. Visible changes in strength, energy, and body composition typically develop within the first few weeks of consistent training.
Do you offer nutrition coaching?
Yes. Our programs include nutrition and lifestyle coaching as part of the holistic approach. Our Core and Confidence program specifically includes personalized nutrition guidance.
